Here is our yellow Lady Banks rose bush, one photo with hubby (6’1″) in front for perspective. It blooms once a year, in March and April here in central Texas.
The largest rose bush on record is a yellow Lady Banks in Tombstone Arizona. From Wikipedia: [It was planted] “in 1885 and still flourishes today in the city’s sunny climate. This rose bush now covers 8,000 square feet of the roof on an inn, and has a 12-foot (3.7 m) circumference trunk.”

I have stood in the shade of the Lady Banks rose in Tombstone, but I think it was later in the summer — no blooms.
It must be spectacular when in bloom.
