My VCR has already updated its clock, back to Standard time. The VCR was made before the last law change by Congress to Daylight Savings/Standard time and its programming is based on the previous time schedule.
The first time the VCR changed to Standard time and it was an hour earlier than the current, “real” time, I dutifully updated it back to Daylight Savings time. It was in sync for a few weeks until we went to Standard time and then I had to manually change the time again.
Now I just let the VCR be an hour different for a few weeks, twice a year. It’s a low tech solution, and it works for me.
